Applicants should complete the MU Online Graduate Application for Admission.

The non-refundable application-processing fee is $65.00 US for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents and $90.00 US for Non-Resident Aliens (Internationals).

Cumulative GPA >= 3.0
GRE-Quantitative >= 155
For native speakers: GRE-Verbal >= 146
For non-native speakers (English proficiency tests): TOEFL iBT >= 80 or IELTS >= 6.5 or Pearson Test of English (PTE) >= 59 or Cambridge C1 Advanced  (C1 Advanced) >= 180

  • Your transcript from every college or university you have attended
  • Your resume
  • Your personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A copy of your official English proficiency score (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.). Your official TOEFL or IELTS (or other English proficiency test) scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service) must be submitted directly to the Graduate Admission Office (210 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211)  *International Applicants only
  • Your official GRE scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service)
