Application Procedures
Applicants should complete the MU Online Graduate Application for Admission.

The non-refundable application-processing fee is $65.00 US for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents and $90.00 US for Non-Resident Aliens (Internationals).

The following items are required to be uploaded to the MU Online Graduate Application for Admission:

  • Your transcript from every college or university you have attended
  • Your resume
  • Your personal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A copy of your official TOEFL or IELTS score. Your official TOEFL or IELTS scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service) must be submitted directly to the Graduate Admission Office (210 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211)*International Applicants only

The following items must be forwarded directly to Ms. Lynne Riddell (see address below):

  • Your official GRE scores (sent directly from the Educational Testing Service)

GPA, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS Score Guidelines (minimum levels normally expected):
Cumulative GPA = 3.0 or above;
GRE-Quantitative = 155 or above;
For native speakers: GRE-Verbal = 146 or above;
For international students: TOEFL = 550/80 (paper/internet) or IELTS = 6.5.
