David Ridley received his bachelor's in Economics (and Political Science) in 1993 from the University of Missouri, where he also served as a teaching assistant for Economics, as well as student body president. After earning a PhD in Economics from Duke University, Dr. Ridley has worked at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, most recently as an endowed Research Fellow, a Professor of the Practice, and Faculty Director of the Center for Health Sector Management. As a health economist, Dr. Ridley's research has led to new federal laws regarding the review processes at the FDA and EPA, and his research has been published in outlets including the Journal of Health Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, and top medical journals (JAMA, NEJM, Lancet). Dr. Ridley has also won many teaching awards.
