Steven A. Ramirez followed his bachelor's in economics with a law degree from Saint Louis University, leading to a successful, multifaceted career in law that leveraged his economic expertise from Mizzou. He rose to partner at Chicago law firm Robinson Curley & Clayton, then worked as an attorney for the FDIC and later SEC, and eventually landed in academia, helping found the Business and Transactional Law Center at Washburn University and now teaching and publishing research as the Abner J. Mikva Professor of Law at Loyola University Chicago, where he is also Director of the Center for Business Law.
