Congratulations Abbigayle Mills!!
MU Economics
Abbigayle Mills (BS/MA Economics 2025) has been admitted to the PhD Program at Emory University in Atlanta where she will study Health Economics. Ms. Mills completed the accelerated BS/MA in Economics in four year at Mizzou. Her interest in pursuing a PhD in Health Economics was inspired by Dr. Liisa Laine’s Econ 4357: Health Economics class and deepened after taking Dr. Alyssa Carlson’s Econ 8473: Applied Econometrics course. Pursuing doctoral study in health economics and policy will combine her enthusiasm for economic theory, love for mathematical challenges, and her long-standing interest in healthcare.
Abbigayle grew up as a military child, spending most of her childhood in England before moving to Tucson, AZ for high school and then to Columbia, MO. At Mizzou, she served as Head of Internal Relations for Undergraduate Women in Economics, was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, and served as a Teaching Assistant in Econ 1014: Principles of Microeconomics.
Congratulations Abbigayle and good luck at Emory University!
