Assistant Professor (tenure track)

The University of Missouri, Columbia is seeking two Assistant Professor with field specializations in applied microeconomics or applied macroeconomics and with evidence of excellence (or the potential for excellence) in research, service and teaching. Salary, benefits, and teaching load are highly competitive.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Phd in Economics or a related field expected by August 15th, 2023; legally able to work in the United States by August 15th, 2023.

Preferred Qualifications:

The department is seeking scholars with field specializations in applied microeconomics and applied macroeconomics who conduct empirical and policy relevant research with a record of (or strong potential for): publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, external funding, and a national reputation for scholarly accomplishments manifest in citations, awards, advisory and editorial positions, etc. In addition, candidates should have a record of (or a strong potential for) excellence in mentoring and teaching students from diverse backgrounds at both the undergraduate and graduate level; as well as contributing enthusiastically to university and public service. Candidates will be evaluated holistically on these criteria.
