Congratulations to Dr. Mihaela Craioveanu, who was surprised in class shortly before Thanksgiving break and presented with the Walter Johnson Teaching Award.  Dr. Craioveanu has been an adjunct instructor in the Department of Economics since 2021. She teaches both, in-person and online sections of Econ 4371/7371: Introductory Economics. Her classes consistently receive excellent reviews from students, in the tradition of Dr. Walter Johnson, a legendary member of the faculty for more than 30 years.  The Walter Johnson Opportunities for Excellence Fund is supported by gifts from alumni and friends of the department and permits us to recognize faculty excellence.
