The newest issue of Cato Research Briefs in Economic Policy features “Pharmaceutical Drug Regulation and Mortality: Evidence from Electronic Cigarettes,”by Michael Pesko, University of Missouri; and Christian Saenz, Georgia State University. The authors find that “e-cigarettes exemption from FDA regulation saved 74,000 life-years from 2011-2019.
