Mizzou Economics Department was well represented this past weekend, during the reception for the Award for Academic Distinction. This award recognizes undergraduate students who exceed expectations to contribute to the academic atmosphere at Mizzou. Established in 2014 by a group of students to celebrate fellow Tigers, this award recognizes students who, through their academic efforts, have improved the intellectual and academic culture of the university and motivated other students to do the same. Awarded to up to 15 undergraduate students each year, it is one of the highest honors MU offers based on academic distinction alone.

This year’s awardees include Eric Kvam (Econ BS, Math BS, Geo minor, Spring ’26), John Martin (Econ BS, Math BS, Stat BS, Spring ’25) and Logan Liguore (Econ BS, Poli Sci BA, English and IT minors, Spring 2025). Congratulations on this well deserved achievement gentlemen!!
