Kati Abbott Receives MU Excellence in Advising Award

Congratulations to Kati Abbott on receiving the Excellence in Advising Award from the MU Provost and Advisor’s Forum. Within the Department of Economics, Kati plays a key role in supporting students as they navigate their academic paths, explore their interests, and work toward their degree goals. Her advising helps students connect their coursework in economics and related fields to meaningful academic and career outcomes.

This award recognizes the impact she makes across the students she serves at Mizzou, including those in economics. 

Kati’s recognition also reflects the broader culture of excellence in advising across campus, including the Department of Economics, where she advises alongside colleagues such as Rebecca Fallon, recipient of the inaugural First-Generation Faculty/Staff Champion Award in 2025, and Sarah Kammeyer, recipient of the New Advisor Award in 2025.
