Mizzou Economics is fortunate to employ several remote, Online Teaching Specialists that offer high quality and convenient online courses. For example, Dr. Robert Hazel regularly teaches courses in Law and Economics, Financial Economics; and Economics in the Digital Age.

Bob Hazel began his career as a lawyer at a Washington DC law firm, then worked as an airline vice president before becoming a partner at a large management consulting firm where he advised clients in many countries. After working for over 35 years in these positions, Bob entered graduate school to earn a PhD in Economics. He also holds JD and MBA degrees. Bob is known as an enthusiastic teacher, eager to engage with students on a wide variety of subjects and to help them navigate their career decisions. He developed his popular Economics in the Digital Age course after deciding that existing courses did not adequately cover this important subject. When he’s not teaching, Bob enjoys international travel with his wife Wendy – they are heading to Japan and the Galapagos this year. He also enjoys woodworking and helping his sons fix up their old houses.
