The Dr. Michael J. Podgursky Scholarship was established by the Department of Economics with a generous gift from one of our donors in recognition of Chancellor’s Professor Mike Podgursky, in honor of his decade of service as Department Chair of Mizzou Economics and his dedication to teaching Principles of Economics.  Podgursky Scholars must demonstrate excellence in Principles of Microeconomics or Principles of Macroeconomics and have been nominated by their instructors. The following students have been named as 2025 Michael J. Podgursky Scholars:

This award is given to the very best Principles of Economics students from the past academic year, as nominated by their course instructors.
