Chao Gu (MA 2002) earned a PhD at Cornell before returning to Mizzou as a professor.  She has steadily produced high-quality research in macroeconomics (especially monetary), with papers published in the very top journals in all of economics (Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies).
