Departmental Honors and Honors Thesis

Students may earn Departmental Honors by conducting a research project under faculty supervision. Students who meet the following criteria may request permission to enroll in Econom 4995 (Honors Thesis):

• Economics major
• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.30
• GPA of at least 3.50 in Economics
• Completion of, or concurrent enrollment in Econom 4351 (Intermediate Microeconomics)
• Completion of, or concurrent enrollment in Econom 4371 (Introductory Econometrics) is also preferred.
