Economics majors intern at leading firms and organizations, in a variety of sectors, industries, and fields, like:
The College of Arts & Science encourages all students to pursue internships and other forms of hands-on learning. To accomplish this goal, students can:
- Take INTDSC 2942 to develop skills to successfully apply for internships and employment and to succeed in them.
- Take INTDSC 4942 to earn course credit for an internship not sufficiently related to economics.
- Take Econom 3940 or 4940 for internship credit in economics. Econom 4940 requires completion of Econom 3271, Econom 4371 or a Stat 3000+ level course with a B- or higher. If you believe your internship may qualify for this credit, please complete the Economics Internship Application.

The College of Arts & Science holds joint career and internship fairs with the College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources each semester. In addition, all MU students can attend any of the campus career fairs regardless of the sponsoring college.
