Congratulations Dr. Chao Gu and Dr. David Kaplan for winning the Nouss Award for teaching excellence.  The award this year recognizes excellence in graduate training and mentoring.  Dr. Gu advises doctoral students pursuing careers in macroeconomics, while Dr. Kaplan serves as the Director of Doctoral Studies and advises students pursuing econometrics.  Both Dr. Gu and Dr. Kaplan have recently placed their advisees in tenure track positions at Research-1 universities.   This recognition is made possible by a generous gift from Jay and Lisa Nouss, in memory of Dr. John Kuhlman who taught us that economics is the “Study of Truth.”  Thank you to the Nouss family for all you do for Mizzou!
