Professor and Associate Department Chair Zack Miller, edited a special issue of Journal of Econometrics (V 239, February 2024) devoted to the new and growing field of climate econometrics, a branch of econometrics that draws from and supports climate science and climate economics using statistical methods drawn from the large toolboxes of econometricians.

Professor Miller is a time series econometrician who has been with the Department since 2005. He has published in Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Reviews, Energy Economics, Journal of Time Series Analysis, and other outlets. He is an associate editor of Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics and has edited issues of Energy Economics, Advances in Econometrics, and in addition to the special issue of Journal of Econometrics just published he is currently editing a special issue of Environmetrics. The special issue of Journal of Econometrics is coedited with Professor Felix Pretis of the University of Victoria.
