Economics is one of the fastest growing undergraduate majors at Mizzou! In 2015, 38 students graduated with an economics degree (23 BA and 15 BS); in 2022, 96 students graduated (41 BA and 55 BS).  And the composition of graduates is becoming much more diverse.  In 2015, just 16% of the graduating class was female and 3% URM; in 2022, economics graduates were 48% female and 16% URM.

Mizzou economics is making intentional efforts to recruit majors by improving the students experience and appealing to a broader set of student interests.  Our student groups are partners in this success; check out UMES and UWE today!
