MU Economics

Olivia Skeans, a rising junior and a founding member of our Undergraduate Women in Economics program, has been selected by the College of Arts and Science Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Mentorship Program Committee to receive funding to pursue her research. The Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Mentorship Program (URCAMP) encourages and supports undergraduate research by providing stipends for students to work alongside faculty mentors to learn firsthand about the natural integration of research, creative activity, and teaching. Her research proposal is titled “Panel Analysis of Mask Laws on COVID-19 Cost and Utilization of U.S. Hospitals,” and she will be working under the mentorship of Dr. Alyssa Carlson.

Congratulations Olivia!
