Dr. Katie Harris-Lagoudakis, an Assistant Professor of Economics at Iowa State and Mizzou Economics Alumni (BS, 2012), met with Undergraduate Women in Economics, (UWE,) to discuss career paths in economics. Dr. Harris-Lagoudakis also presented her current research, on "changes in consumption patterns, in response to SNAP benefit-eligibility", to Faculty in the department attended seminar.  UWE is a department sponsored student organization that aims to increase and elevate underrepresented groups in economics; its activities are supported by gifts from friends and alumni of Mizzou Economics.
